Holiday Tours – Start your tour on the Northern Island after you have first recovered from your flight to Auckland. Then you can travel to the beautiful Bay of Islands, where you can take a cruise through the bay. Then onto Hamilton, where you can visit the nearby Waitomo glowworm caves, and travel to the geothermal Rotorua. Here you can see how active the earth is, with bubbling mud pools, hot pools and geysers, but Rotorua is also rich in Maori culture. After that, you can continue your journey through a volcanic landscape to Taupo, beautifully situated on Lake Taupo, and to the nation’s capital, Wellington. This charming town has a small but vibrant center that you can easily discover on foot.
By ferry you can enjoy a beautiful crossing to the Southern Island, where your first stop is Kaikoura. Here you can join a cruise in search of whales throughout the year. Then travel from Ashburton to Dunedin, a student city with a Scottish history and great architecture. When you reach the far south of New Zealand, you can cross over to the third New Zealand island of Stewart Island and explore its unspoiled nature. Back on the Southern Island, you can drive to Milford Sound, where a cruise is an absolute must. Through the glaciers of Franz Josef, you cross through Arthur’s Pass and the New Zealand Alps before ending your trip in Christchurch.
